THANKS!!!
We had a great time tonight at the Barley House!!! What a crowd!!! It's been a while since I've seen that room that full and everyone stayed!!! Thank you so much!!! Everyone. It's just what we needed. Don't forget to come see us again tomorrow in Eagle Square with our frineds BROWN HILL, DAN BLAKESLEE & BEECHWOOD. It's going to be an amazing time. There's a peace rally on Main St. at noon, so plan for crowds and bad parking. See you in the a.m.!
BARLEY HOUSE TONIGHT EAGLE SQUARE TOMORROW
I'm just re-posting this in case anyone forgot.... I'll take it down Sunday. Hope to see some people out tonight. Let's see if there's a music scene here or not. The WIRE in Portsmouth did a cover story in the Sept. 5th Issue that I just re-read and it made me sad. It talked about the music scene back in the early and mid-90's before the computer came along. People used to go see shows instead of gaming or surfing on the 'net'. (JJ)
I guess we've probably seen the best of it now, but I'm not ever gonna stop pushing for our local music scene. I saw it thriving and I played in it then, so my standards are set and I'll die before they are lowered. Get out and see some music. Thanks.
PETE'S CANDY STORE in BROOKLYN
We'll be at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn, NY on November 12, 2006. That's a Sunday, so make sure you plan for Monday and come down. It's at 709 Lorimer Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. I'll post our set time when I get it, so check back here for updated info.
We'll be playing a full set of music this Friday, September 29th at our local haunt, the Barley House. 3 hours of Mini Jacket... I hope the bar is stocked on Jack Daniels and Spiral Ham. Chances are, it'll be a production. If only Patrick Williams would magically appear with his Juno... We'll learn "Waterloo Sunset" for you....
Saturday, September 30, 2006, we'll be in Eagle Square in Concord for the beginning of the Barley Houses' week-long Oktoberfest celebration. Join us with our friends Dan Blakeslee and Beechwood for some really great music and a chance to celebrate and drink in a really cool park. Eagle Square doesn't get used enough in my opinion.

Just want to say thank you to Suzanne at the Alphabet Lounge and Lach at Sidewalk Cafe for the stage-time this past weekend. That was such a trip! 2 clubs in 2 hours!!! Thank You, New York City!!! We friggin' love it there! The evergy is so great and the crowds so attentive and appreciative. We can't wait to see you all again! Pete's Candy Store in November.... Brooklyn.

Michael always looks cool for the camera. Especially in rose-colored eyeglasses.

NYC GIGS IN THE WORKS
I'm working on 3 or 4 possible gigs in NYC. We may be there as soon as Sept. 23, 2006 at the Alphabet Lounge on the lower east side. It's right by Sidewalk Cafe where we played before and we hope to play again. Pete's Candy Store is the another club I'm working on. That's in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
I'll post all the dates as I get them.

DOVER SOUL PODCAST
Here's the podcast from our performance the other night at Dover Soul. It's a little wonky for us, only because Ben's amp got knocked over and a couple of tubes were broken. Lucky for us he had a back-up amplifier, but it wasn't what he needed and it messed us up a little bit. Very good energy though and the recording came out great! That's Scott Harris' fine work. Thank you Scott!!!

DOVER HAS SOUL!!!
That was one of the most satisfying gigs we've played in a long time!!! The staff was super-nice from the second we got there, all the other bands were really cool and we all had a chance to talk a bit. Thanks to the guys from Buckdancer's Choice and Mercury Hat for getting the crowd going!!! Another huge Thanks to Tim Deal, Scott Harris & Tom Ferry, thank you so much for your help and contribution to the local music scene!!! You guys are developing quite a series in Dover and beyond. It's really cool to be a part of that and I can't wait to work together more. Keep us in mind for Mighty K Music Festival if anything comes up.
