IT'S IN THE HISTORY BOOKS...

What a complete and absolute success!!! Over 200 people and only one small incident. Every minute of music was amazing! Thank you to all the bands who participated in the Festival this weekend. BRAVO!!! You were all beyond my wildest expections.
Thank you to all the boys up at Fletchers for all your hard work. This could NOT have happened without the hours of labor that you volenteered. Every smiling face you saw was a direct result of your hard work!
Jerry Richardson and Dann Foster for providing and maintaining an absolutely flawless sound-system. The mix was full and clear, on-stage and off.
Sean Parcells for showing up and running the board with Jerry for 12 hours! WTF buddy?!
Hal for running the front gate... I really didn't know you were up there that long dude, I'm sorry.
Matt Stanley for being so famous.
Paul and Judy Valerie for cooking warm and good food for everybody!
Thank you so much, Bob Fletcher for providing your land to promote a safe and clean environment to showcase New Hampshire Talent.
And finally, Thank you to the crowd, for dancing and listening and staying so cool! Your energy was amazing! It was great to see all those old friends and new faces.
Anyone I miss, I'm sorry. I'm a little fried right now. Good night!

FESTIVAL DATE CHANGE
The Festival is moving to Saturday and Sunday rather than Friday and Saturday. The dates are August 26 & 27th. This will allow more time for all the bands that I have scheduled. Write me if there's a problem.

That's what I got. I hope you are all planning accordingly and plan of having the best night of your summer, right there under the stars and the new moon. We're calling it "Fletchers's New Moon Festival". Since I'm putting it all together, I can do that...
I mean this with all my heart, friends:
Please come and experience an evening of music, unlike anything you'll see again. Come hang out and share in the grooves with a bunch of your friends you forgot you had. I'll be there and I think a lot of other people will be too. New Hampshire's Best up and coming band will be there...
With tents and fires and guitars.
Don't let me down folks.....

Bourbon's - Aug. 31, 2006
MJ will headline a show at Bourbon's in Portsmouth on Aug. 31, 2006. The room is downstairs at the Muddy River Smokehouse and it has recently been placed under new management by a very talented and well-connected duo. From what I hear, it is a really great place to be and we feel lucky to have gotten a gig there so soon. We would like to say Thank You to Tim Deal and Lori Nolan for their hard-work.
UPDATE:
Michael Crane is going to be home from Philly and is opening for us at this show.
Bourbon's is located downstairs at the Muddy River Smokehouse, 21 Congress St., Portsmouth. Call 430-9582.

NEW HAMPSHIRE MAGAZINE'S BEST OF NH 2006!!!
Band on the Rise: What are the marks of a band that can actually break out of a local scene? It’s gotta be good, honest, original and able to touch some mysterious cultural nerve — and it’s gotta be lucky. There’s just so much going on out in the music world that lightning must strike to really set a band on fire. Well, we wish The Band June (www.thebandjune.com) good luck and a bolt of lightning, because they’ve got the other qualities in spades. Based in Bow where singer, songwriter and guitarist Mechelle Zydenbos lives, the band tours widely and even made an appearance this year at NYC’s famous CBGBs. Like the farmer says, there’s no better way to get struck by lightning than to be outstanding in your field.
